This policy explains what we do with the information you send us through this website. We keep it short because we genuinely do very little with it.
Who we are
Dundee Roofing Services, a roofing contractor based in Dundee, Scotland, trading since 1982. We are the data controller for information submitted through this site. You can reach us on 07932 755388.
What we collect
Only what you choose to type into the quote form:
- Your name
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your email address
- Your town or postcode (optional)
- The message describing what you need doing
We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking on this website, and we do not build any profile of you. There is no account to create and no newsletter to join.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use it solely to reply to your enquiry, quote for the work, and carry out the job if you go ahead. Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Who else sees it
- Web3Forms — the service that delivers the form to our inbox. Your submission passes through their systems in order to reach us.
- Our email provider — the enquiry arrives and is stored as an email.
- Google Fonts — the site loads its typefaces from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No cookies are set by this.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept only as long as they are useful to us, and cleared out periodically. Where we carry out work for you, we keep the job record for as long as we need it for our business and tax records.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Contact us on 07932 755388 and we will deal with it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we add anything to this site that collects more information — analytics, for example — we will update this policy and the cookie policy before doing so.
